Players develop this ability by practicing with a guitar — at present only acoustic guitars allow skill progression, though the developers have suggested that electric and classical guitar variants could be added in future updates.
The quality of a Parafolk's playing improves with their skill level: beginners play simple melodies at slower tempos, while advanced players tackle complex pieces with greater fluency and speed. The game includes three confirmed acoustic guitar pieces that unlock at different proficiency tiers — Greensleeves (early and intermediate), Maple Leaves (intermediate and advanced), and Dance of the Dragon / Valse des cygnes (advanced).
Characters possessing the Music Talent advance faster through music-related skills, though confirmation is pending regarding whether this bonus applies specifically to Guitar development. The maximum level is 20.
